I think a lot of people on this forum don't realise that many STi and WRX parts are identical.

What regular WRX parts might they use over the equivalent STi parts?

Guards?? They're the same..

Radiator support? Same!

Headlights and grille? Same!

Bonnet, bumper and anything else damaged that is STi specific will be replaced with STi specific parts, as that is the vehicle insured!

there is alot of incorrect information flying about this thread about insurance. contact them and ask them directly as they are required by law to advise you. dont just go by what others say on the net tho.

good luck, hopefully you get the outcome you want. least you were hurt and didnt hurt someone else. hope you feel better also.. must be some sort of bug going around atm.. heaps of ppl seem to be sick with the simular conditions

all good insurance is something alot of us dont really pay much attention too until you really need it... same thing happened when the perth storm hit in march and alot of ppl realised they werent covered for hail damage depending who you were with and some arent covered for certain storm damage to their houses depending who your with..

if you wanna look at shannons shoot me a PM if/when its fixed and we can discuss your options

If i was you i would alteast put stock parts to parts that arent on your policy i,e rims as if the car is written off u wont get access to them....

I can see easily 10K plus worth of damage here.. If the car is insured for 20K as u say i think they will write it off..

hey mate i was wondering what the deal was with getting any parts back. unfortunately the rims were in my policy so i assume i won't be getting them back? also they took the car straight to the just car insurance assessment place in osborne park so i have no access to the car to take or swap anything off of
