This is what All Star use in my car (although they use the Professional range), and its fine.

from my thread last time that i posted up, i read that pure synthetic oil was the mobil 1 and that castrol fully synthetic was not 100% synthetic because of the company cheaping out or something. now i had a read through i can't bloody find the post, i know who posted it but no names going to mentioned.

I doubt that a company like Castrol would market a product as fully synthetic if it wasn't, highly unlikely.

If someone can post some actual proof up, that would be good.

99% of the time these are great internet myths where some "mechanic" in the middle of bumfuck nowhere knows more than all the engineers at Subaru, Castrol, Total and Mobil because his secret blend is da bomb.

I know my mobile mechanic reckons magnatec eats away at head gaskets and seals, but I still use it in the XR6T because that's what Ford recommend.

Gonna start using Repco branded oil in the rex soon, as I recently found out its Mobil rebadged.

I bought the repco oil recently for my girlfriend's getz.. they told me it was rebadged penrite...

Either way, $29 for 5L of oil plus the filter... bargain.

Find that hard to believe.. the head gasket itself doesn't even touch oil most of the time, and on many cars, the gallery holes through the gasket are reinforced.
