I thought Repco oil was re-refined reclaimed oil?? It was when I worked there in the 90's.

Eats head gaskets. Oh yeah! I also heard that it is attracted like a magnet to areas where there is more wear marks.... Gilly said so!

I use whatever was in my car when I bought it. 176,000kms on, it seems fine.

Repco branded oils are made by Penrite for Repco (says so on the bottle) but from my understanding it's a different blend to the Penrite range, Repco 'branded' additives/flushes fuel injector cleaners) are made by Nulon from what I've heard.
Mobil did provide the oil in the Repco branded packaging but just like Penrite is is a blend made up to Repco specifications. |
