And good luck registering a wrc car.....

Why couldnt you B-reg it?? theres alot of events you could do but just not be eligible for points. Mainteance costs should not be a factor of an organiser letting you participate or not.

When i was in the hunt for one i was told by that it shouldnt be an issue to breg that type of car, howerver it wouldnt be eligble to participate for points etc..

Plus im not talking about the new WRC cars with all there electronic gadetry but an older S5 WRC car...

^^ No reason why you couldnt Tino. If all you wanted to do was go play, you could probabaly run at Targa in the "invitational" category where you arent in the main game but get to do the full event at full noise. (Similar to Jamie Lister in my old car last year when it wasnt eligible) Could also go and have a crack at the SE, RAC sprints. Would be a lot of fun.

There are some fun cars in the UK. The Ginetta G50 is pretty cool and reasonably priced. Kit car with a 300 odd HP V6, sequantial and low 900 odd kg weight. Although looking on youtube, most vids seem to involve crashes so i guess they are a handful

Bout 45k aud plus transport to land a second hand one.

Yes this is what i was told Blaise by people in the know.. for me it would be two things to have a piece of history i.e colin macraes S5 WRC car that won the australian rally (i have a pic of this car mounted on my wall) or richard burns S5 WRC car... both cars are for sale atm..

Secondly would be to have a bit of fun in a proper factory speced race car. I know unless i do alot of motorsport i could never be right up at the front of the main field (time prevents this for me) so it would be just to get out there in some events..

nethertheless i was so close to pulling the pin but went another more sensible direction instead..

The exact reason that my next car will be an old Porka with an ITB fed late model engine in it, rather than a later model one.. huge buzz to drive, whilst retaining some semblance of reliability.
