If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

I think my problem was the fact the volume of fluid required to operate the AP bearing was more than the Competition Clutch one.

Your slave hasn't changed size so there's no real need to change the master.

Agree. Its always felt 'normal' with the exedy carbon. So when i finally do the hyper, it should also be the same. I was more curious than anything, mainly so because my car is a conversion, and never came with the 6spd equipment. Just wanted to make sure it was what its supposed to be more than anything.

I've done many 5 speed to 6 speed conversions and I've never had to change a master cylinder before.

This was a first for me which is why it was the hassle it was as it didn't even occur to me that the master cylinder would be the issue.

Reminds me of all the trouble i had trying to make my hydro handbrake work. Playing with cylinder sizes and lever ratios. Haha

Thought I'd invest in a cheap dash cam as I had a near miss with a fuckwit pulling out on me the other day.

Gotta love a bit of flutter

So it was the drag season opener at my local strip yesterday and I thought I'd take the car and get some runs done.

I've never ran the car down the strip on 98 so that was first. I did two runs 11.72 @ 122mph and 11.69 @ 122mph so fairly consistent. This was at 21 psi of boost.

Then I swapped fuel to E85. first run was 11.0 at 134mph.

Managed a couple of runs both at 11.1

Then on my final run as I was low on E85 (20 litres got me four runs) I managed a 10.96 at 135mph.

In car footage of the 10.9 run.

Race Face on.

The car also managed a 0-60mph (100kph ish) @ 3.2 seconds.

I was 2nd fastest overall yesterday being beaten by a fully stripped out evo Running 10.5.

Couple of points to note. This particular drag strip isn't the best of surfaces so I'm convinced there's a little more to be had from the car. My 60ft's were 2 tenths down on the one at the plex so there's more time to be had there.

I'm convinced there's a 10.5 in the car but certainly not much more than that.

The nearest proper drag strip is a 2 and a half hour drive away so I may or may not get it on there at some point.

But overall I'm really happy considering I drove the 40 mile journey home afterwards.

Back to back tens on opposite sides of the globe as Jacob Ayres quoted yesterday. Pretty cool

Nice work mate, good to see you're still enjoying it and using it like its's supposed to be especially considering its a daily. Would love to see you nail a 10.5 at a good prepped track as no doubt it's got it.

Wow. That drag strip is rough. It looks like it's actually missing chunks of ashphalt in places.

Good work on the 10sec pass.

Should see the access road. It's like it's been cluster bombed by several runway busters.
