Any Guru's care to comment as I am only reiterating rumours I've heard.
This is what I was told when I brought my car in from Japan - that to reg would need dot approved tyres

How much does the Kala store do them for?
Shizza, 1K for 18s is great.
I got mine for a special price that I'd rather (and they'd rather) not reveal, due to the fact that it was a one-off price which won't be repeated as it was one of the first sets they bought in. I'm running 225/50 on 16" wheels and they seem to go at about $AU280 a corner normally, fitted balanced etc...
I might ring them up and see what the go is with them bringing them (its all official, but just to clear up some of the questions some people on here have in regards to the legality of certain things etc) and if they can get 18"s in and at what price.

Hence looking OS, also I'm fairly confident that a lot of tyres from OS do have the DOT approval.

I have these in the medium compound on my GC8. Very grippy tyre and dont take long to come on but wear quicker than the Bridgstones. They are a good tyre for skid pan stuff.

Star Spec's?

Just wanted to get some local experiences/info as I'm Seriously considering
getting a set of these, I've heard good reports from Subaru owners in the
US and I can get them at ridiculously cheap prices.
Im after a new set of tyres and looking at the dunlop's star spec and yokohama's AD07 and AD08's but no local info as said above.
jdm_style, did you end up getting these tyres, or anyone even?
Feedback/info if any please.

Cheers
Dan

Smile

Have run Maxis at a tyre shops recommendation. DON'T TOUCH THEM! Felt like the front tyres were going to peel off the rim doing slow 2nd gear corners. Fronts also wore out fast.
Running Kumo's now and very happy.
