Unhappy blown gearbox...

Ever feel like you are chasing your tail?

Ok so i finally finished my new 207 build after engine failure, just ran her in and ready for a new tune....

Last night i went to the servo for some milk pulled away fairly cruisey hit second all of a sudden a really loud fast knocking sound in 2nd... now car on tickover with clutch out makes same sound not as loud hardly audiable pretty much comes to a stop when the clutch is in.

2nd makes loud knocking sound, 1st-3rd-4th-5th only quiet but defo there still..

The box i have is a V.3 sti 4.44 an dccd controller is it worth getting it rebuilt? if so who by? can anyone on here do it?

I only put the box in last yr an its not been used for 5mths... was second hand.

Gotta say im getting bored fast throwing money at this car, its the worst wrx i have owned...

Never seen a thread like this before. ASG can rebuild it. 6 Speed or Straights.

my 4.44 box has lasted fine with my power level (over 300 hp atw), including spirited driving, AHG and drags.
depending whats broken will obviously determine the cost.
rebuilt the 5 speed in my old clubspec cost 1500ish for new second gear, mainshaft, labour, oil etc etc
