Default Car Stalling

When im driving along my car will sometimes jolt back and forward,
it feels like fuel cuts and will usually stall...but i have a full tank of petrol
And also sometimes it wont start. I think its a fueling problem of some
sort i will call mechanics in the morning and ideas or suggestions would
be great
Thanks Dave

Any CEL lights?

I found when my coolant temp sensor plug wasn't in, i had similair problems to this - it led to troublesome starts and jerkyness; especially when cold. You'll find that when your ECU isn't picking up the correct temperatures; it'll increase the mixture, turn the thermo fans on (and subsequently open your thermostat), as it thinks it's blatantly hot, when it's actually not.

Might not be the same for OBD2 ecu's.. but it was what happened with my car atleast!

Check to make sure the Fuel Pump is priming too.

if its got a brant system i would say its that
they tend to lose memory in the keypad module which causes the alarm to arm when driving therefore cutting the fuel pump
have you had problems entering your code?

The fuel pump only primes (runs) for about 2 seconds when the key is first turned to 'run' (with alarm disarmed of course).

Read these threads:

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthre...ht=brant+issue

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showpost...&postcount=172

Brant module is the usual cause of this typre of intermittent surge / cut out / miss.
