Sounds like you burnt the clutch plate.

Have you checked the clutch fluid level as Rosco has mentioned?

Also air lock in the hydraulics can cause the clutch pedal to be erratic.

i thought it might have been an air blockage... however, the gears completly conked out right at the end, every gear wouldnt accelerate, it would just rev.. and when the car is running, i can change gears without the clutch pedal being in... so thats why i assumed it was the clutch

You'll need to tow it to a workshop to chk that's for sure.

sounds like it could be both, the clutch and hydraulic. sounds more like the master cylinder than a hose but. I fixed a liberty with that same problem, did her clutch and clutch master cylinder, shes never had any problems since.

Budget for $1200 - $1400 if it is just a new clutch and machined flywheel, take it to Dougie at STechnic Same thing happened to mine a few months ago.

STechnic is 55km away from my house.. i live in Woodvale.. :/ any other closer places you might recommend?
