Default Problem when i shift

When i shift from 3rd to 4th i feel a quick grinding
*its not hard to shift into 4th
*occurs more often the more i drive the car throughout day.
*only happens when shifting into 4th.
*only happens when car is moving.
*also when i shift into 4th and then back to 3rd and back to 4th it will shift without the grinding.
anyone know what it is or if it can be fixed?

I had the exact same problem with my Bug, the reason why is because you are shifting too fast....(it was for me) and the way I understand it, is that the synchros don't have time to get up to speed, and cause the grinding when you shift too fast, try slowing down, and you will notice the problem should stop, if it doesn't see a reputable workshop

I am pretty sure I posted a thread a few months back regarding the same thing, I'll see if I can find it, if changing slower doesn't help, worse case scenario, syncro will have to be replaced, OR.....you can try changing the gearbox oil to something thicker (I think, trying to remember :P) someone will correct me though.
