i also got whiteline sway bars put on first before my straut brace... i noticed a large increase in handling. you wont be disappointed either way. strutbrace keeps your allignment tru so your struts have minimal flex on cornering.

with the knowledge i have about swaybars without actually giving you research, is that when taking a corner the flex in the bar or leverage one might call it keeps the other tyre firmly on the ground, also decreasing body roll... they work off your control arms. stiffer the swaybar, less roll and more pressure on the opposite tyre.

sort of counteracts one side to the other in terms of grip. when one control arm goes up from roll into the corner the other control arm is pushed down keeping suspension and tyres tru to the ground.

not heaps detailed but from what ive learnt, thats probably enough info to get you by.

Larger sway bars have two main effects. They change the vehicle balance in terms of understeer or oversteer, and increase roll resistance. Both of these attributes can provide increased overall grip.

A sway bar (either front or rear) is designed to increase wheel rate and thus decrease body roll in the process. In Subarus specifically, this leads to a drastically better change in suspension geometry for lateral grip. Off-roading is not recommended with much of a sway bar; thus rally drivers often use very light bars or none at all to gain maximum wheel travel.

happy to help mate, im a big fan of anything Whiteline. they have a great R&D Program and australian owned so having it in your own backyard is always good. if you want some really good chassis rigidity i highly recommend adding the slip in Poly... Bushes for diff / gearbox/traction kits etc... and also the Anti lift castor kit.
