Dan the two quotes I have had in the last two weeks were $1695 EcuTek and $1250 Verso. Have prices just gone up?

No.

No they do not.

On topic:

Get exhaust done.
Get Panel filter replaced with free flowing panel filter.
Get Verso or Ecutec Tune done.

$500 - $3000 "Turbo back exhaust"
$50 - $150 "Panel Filter" I prefer the Apexi dry filters
$1200 - $2000 "Ecu Tune" this will bump up boost and correct A/F ratios making it "safe"

So all up if you fit the exhaust yourself and can get a cheap Ultrex unit you might get away with $2000 for a substantial increase in boost and a reliable ride.

Future ECU tunes will be cheaper as initial cost is for software lic etc..

Yeah mate I'm well out of touch - 25+ years in the Automotive parts industry, Australian National parts specialist of the year 4 times for 3 different makes.

Did I mention living in Hong Kong and working directly with Chinese manufacturers in R&D and mass production?

So tell me again how out of touch with the "modern industry" I am??

Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Ecutek was that price nearly three years ago.

Verso for my betty has been that price for at least 12 months.
