Default Increase boost!

Hello all,
A bit of market research here;

What are the current requirements to increase boost?
Has anyone tried uprating their waste-gate actuator?
If so, what are the best on the market (currently).

All feedback is welcome.

Kind regards,
PA

A tune may be a good option rather then just adding boost through other methods and not adjusting the tune to suit.

Now before you ask "who tunes them"...

...just search any of the following: workshops / Tune / Verso / ECUTECK.

Need more info: go through the Performance Thread and see what mods/tune/tuner/boost correspond to power.

Getting your car tuned to increase the boost is the safest method. Prices generally range from around $600 - $1000 ish for a first time tune depending on the workshop. Choosing a tuner you trust is very important, not the type of tune. If you need help in deciding who to go to, check out the build threads by the members here to see who went where and see their graphs and feedback.

He obviously wants to bring another Chinese made adjustable aftermarket wastegate actuator to the market under the guise of a simple way to up the boost/performance on your car.

Op doesn't seem to to have a grasp on what has to be changed for increased boost to be safe long-term.

I hope he has some great liability insurance.

Happy 2014

I just read that as "I am to lazy to actually search" not literally as "I have a cheap nasty actuator that will fail causing no/full boost and DOK DOK".

No actuators to sell....just want to know the best aftermarket ones out there atm!

And as for the cheap Chinese copy remark....you must be out of touch with modern industry! China produce some of the best quality out there for the automotive industry (behind Germany and the U.K. of course)

Kind regards,
PA
