Hey everyone, ny wrx needs servising and was wonderring what filters everyone uses and where they buy from? Its 98 wrx

Just use RYCO filters - Available at all parts shops

I would stick with genuine. At least I always did/do.

Genuine is good enough, just a tip, its canister is very thin, be gentle with oil filter wrench. Otherwise, ryco is much thicker.

Another tip. Never use a oil filter wrench to put a filter on. Hand tight only.

Used three of them, all of them leaked on three different subarus, mayne a bad patch? Otherwise I still have three, anyone can take off me for free?

There are known fake "Subaru" branded filters entering the market now.
