Found out from the previous owner that they were brand new at the end of 2011, start of 2012 from MMS so original rotors still on them when I got them. There is no doubt at all they are genuine Project MU rotors. |

Dodged that one...
I have the same one, i think they changed the colour end of 2010, but don't count on me on that. Here is the link u can buy from Japan: PROJECT MU SCR-PRO Replacement Rotor Brembo - GDB GRB GGB BES BL5 SG9 - RHDJapan $480 shipped to WA. It take about 1.5-3 weeks depends on stock level. Otherwise, buy from local: Project Mu Brakes - Brake Rotor - SCR Replacement Rotors $760 shipped to WA.

Thanks for the info but I have already ordered from Oz because I need them asap. I e-mailed Project MU yesterday with pics so it will be interesting to see if they reply and what they have to say about them. |

This is the first time I have used them and have no complaints apart from the cracks. I am prepared to give them another go and if they do this again I will probably go back to the DBA5000 which I had always used up till now and never had any problems with them.

Brakes Direct / AKA GSL Rallysport may well do local replacement rotors to suit those hats too.

I got a reply to my e-mail from Project MU today and they have requested some more info on what the car has been used for, pad types etc. The normal suff I suppose and they said they will be forwarding the pics and information to their engineering team in Japan. Will just have to wait and see what they say from here.

Update on this thread.
Apparently Project MU (Gavin) was made aware of my thread on here and when he read it he said that I should not have got the rotors skimmed and you cant do that to 2 piece rotors. I have never heard of that before and they were taken to a reputable shop we all know on here (also listed as an authorised Project MU dealer) and they skimmed them without any issue. Also put some of the blame for cracks on the lack of cooling down for rotors at the RAC venue. Did explain the car wasnt parked up straight away and that I drove around the side of the building slowly for those that know where I mean. So obviously no further investigation from them or their Engineering Dept. in Japan as they said initially. I have also been waiting for Project MU in Oz to keep their word on something they promised me in regards to replacing my hats with the GT Pro hats (floating rotors) They have since ignored a number of e-mails I have sent them in regards to this, which I am extremely dissapointed about. Even when I was getting replies from the guy in the early stages of communication it took about a week for them to reply to your e-mails. What ever happened to good customer service eh??????????????? |
