hey mate i got an 06 sti with a GFB stealth FX to, ive set it too full atmo and have had no problems yet!!,, i think you should take it off and get it looked at!! maybe its jipped???

Makes me consider going back to stock. Keep the coils & sways, but power wise, go back to stock and just wack a cat-back on...Or am i just being ridiculous.

You mean compressor surge if the bov is to tight it dont make a diff to the wastegate.

go get it on a dyno so u can find if the noise is pinging or some weird rattle, if it is pinging, check mixtures etc.... is the ecu spitting out any codes? try pulling of the bov, put standard one back on and see if the problem is still there if yes its not your bov if no it is!
