I have sent Vodafail an email , explaining how annoying the problem is, how through out the whole lot of their issues i have never once got on them about it. though this time it was just enough. Said I am looking to move my services and they have 48 hours to get back to me in regards to what they can do to help me. To be honest I really dont know what to do at the moment, I want to move to telstra for signal only!, beyond that Really can not be bothered with the drama of doing it. Plus telstra's plans are not very competative, though I am going to go see them on tuesday and just ask in person what they can offer me and my total monthly outgoing for two plans, I am guessing possibly with my voda contract they might ask me to return the phone ? not sure on that one. if i was to end it. |

Spoke to a Phillipino lady working in their call center a while back and from what i understood you can negotiate a price to keep the handset dependent on how long the contact has left to run. Dont take it as gospel though she was effing hard to understand

yeah, i will see, not to worried but if I am lucky enough to score the phone at least that is one plan i can do as sim only with telstra.
Can any body confirm if Telstra allows the Personal hot spot teathering on the iphone. I know vodafone currently does allow it and i can teather my ipad to my iphone and use the internet from my plan. though I know optus doesnt let you use that feature. edit: may have answered my own question, how ever i will have to ask for some clarification from telstra in regards to data usage and if it comes off your bundle or is extra. as something about the way they word it here makes me think it isnt included. https://exchange.telstra.com.au/2009...-with-telstra/ |

Tim there is really no drama at all.
I lodged my TIO complaint, got a call from a guy about 5 days later saying you are free to leave. As I was only 4 months in they wanted the phone back - that was fine. They send you an express mail bag to send it back in. I then went to telstra, signed up with them - the 79 cap is decent value! Went home, sync itunes to the new phone, wiped the old one, done. Have had reception ever since.

Tom can you goto your settings and turn on personal wifi hot spot and tell me if it allows you to do this ? see if you can teather your internet from it ?

I'd love to see what the percentage of people having apparent problems are actually an owner of a iPhone.

I would say probably 75% though it is the markets most popular phone so it would be hard for people not to have this phone just by chance. |

Nah just having a dig at the iFail fan boi's however iPhone's are renowned for poor reception due to a crap built in antenna, even the iPhone 4 has reports of bad reception and drop outs from antenna problems because of where its located (apparently and according to the wonderful internet) and they aren't even with vodaphone as its a worldwide problem.

iPhone 4 is reception fail. I now have significant reception problems at my 2nd office which never existed with my IPhone 1 or 3G model.
