I've got one but this dive was only 7m deep - they only work at 10m+.

There's an orange filter available for 5-10m but I'm usually diving deeper than that so not much point in spending $40 on something I'll rarely use.

6am bubble off Marmion Aquatic & Angling Club, was a tad tricky with the swell getting over the reef but after that all good :-)

Took a novice on their first night dive last night at Ammo Jetty and lost count how many octopus I saw. Back up to Hilary's this coming Sunday morning and Lena the following Saturday with the possibility of squeezing in another midweek night dive before that. Oh and running in the McRae sprints tonight. It's a shit life here in WA LOL

Has either of you been to the barge wrecks in the middle of the river? From memory you have to drop in from a scout hall on the southern bank of the river and surface swim about 50~100m to a marker buoy. It's a night dive because of the river traffic but had a huge amount of marine life on the wreck. There's also (or at least was) a line that someone had run to what remains of a what was supposedly a chinese junk.

Nope but willing to give it a bash , river traffic still might be an issue though as boats still do plod up and down.

From the very few times I did it, I preferred midweek anytime after 9~10pm. I'm sure there's a shop that has details for which marker it sits below, as it's been a few years since I've been and can't remember exactly. I wouldn't recommend a can light or anything in excess of 600 lumens as there's just too much back scatter from memory.
