And so it begins...

I hit my saving goal, so now Jolie has become my number one priority. It's time to spend, spend some more, then if it needs it, spend again. Turn some tools, lose some skin and return the car to its former motorsport glory days.

Get myself ready for a No Limits debut in July or August.. *dates dependent* for some seat time, then onto Collie for Tino's organised skidsnshit. Then if its not broken, Twilight Series in November and through summer! (ps I need a nav).

The build is nothing flash or extravagant, just something I know in my head and heart I can beat F&*k out of, and know it will hold together. The car will go to E85 sometime after run in. Then have some 02 Sti wheels and R-comp tyres fitted.

Parts wise, it echos Ross's build, (crank aside). So:

* Sti 2.5L crank. Hopefully re-using my case.
* ACL bearings.
* Same pistons/rings/rods. (Brands anyway, pistons will be different based on longer stroke.
* New bigger oil pump.
* ARP everything holding it together.
* Re-using all my idler pulleys/tensioner/timing belt/water pump, as they're all still very new.
* BC 272's. Deleting inlet AVCS.
* BC springs, retainers and shit... you get the gist. Valves and necessary hardware if required.
* Exedy HDCB clutch. Re-using my 5.5k flywheel.
* Unlock some MoTeC wizardry whilst in the hands of Sean, and set about getting some k's up.
* For some bling, no wait... added sling... Some new Vision R fancy engine mounts and pitch stopper. Wheels are also off to get powdercoated. Then drop in some new coilovers, get WW to align everything up, and we're good to go 'run in'.

The start:

End of day one:

Dusk falling. Levitating car!

Brent.

Nice, can't wait to see the results!

Loving the outside pic and am betting its a great motivator for you.

I'd put a tarp or something over the car/engine bay or regularly clean the leaves out from on top of those vents as leaves plus water = mulch that will cause sludge and build up eventually leading to major rust issues.

May also be worth pulling your guardliners and removing the wiper shroud to see if there's any existing build up.

Well played sir... see you there.

Just a quick update, as I want to publicly thank some people already, even at this early stage.

Ross: For the car space, advice, bouncing ideas off, RSP insight, and Perth based contacts. And of course for laughing at me drinking coolant.

Matt Jones: Providing endless lol's, always happy to help out, and doing my 'strong man work' when I need it.

Rob Hoare: For answering my calls 24/7 when I need it. (who doesn't love a conference call at midnight discussing AVCS... lol).

Darren McKeown: Offering me use of his engine crane to save me buying one. Awesome!

Damo: Like the above, offering me use of his engine stand, to strip her naked once she's out.

Cheers guys! It's people like you, who make me realise that this is indeed a "club", and all the fap aside, a nice place to hang out.

Brent.
