Cheers Chris. I had one in my old SS ute, but I cant remember it being as grippy as this. I will get used to it though.

will be the 1st mod on my next car knowing the gearbox will handle it
i always found blipping the throttle and releasing it as the revs fall is alot easier (& easier on your clutch plate) than trying to ride it whilst revving it... for normal daily duties anyway |

Mod, I would not say a lot more noises, but I can hear the gearbox more when decelerating down. It's a like the pitch noise we get in the 6 speeds in 3rd when coming down in rpm. It's a bit louder than that now in all gears between 3k to 2k when coming down the rpm range. Not the best explanation, but I hope it makes some sense

So I have decided to keep an eye on the cars weight. I took it to a public weigh bridge today and with 1/2 a tank of fuel, in street form, it came in at 1480kg, with me out of the car.
I have finally come to terms with the fact the Dynamat in the car has to come out. I think I might be able to get around 90kg's out of the car for the next run down the 1/4. This should make quite a difference I think.

Simon - from a purely audio perspective - "NO" don't remove the dynamat.
But then again - my priorities are a bit screwy

I wouldn't have thought there would be that much dynamat in the car?
When I looked at doing the evo (I mean every panel including roof) it was only going to be 30kg.

Sorry guys, yeah I mean I can get rid of a total of 90kg. This 90kg consists of some of the items below.
Front passenger seat = 19 kg Rear seats = 10 kg Spare wheel & jack = 11 kg Boot spoiler = 9 kg (took this off & weighed it yesterday) Only run down the strip with 1/4 tank of fuel = save around 12 kg from 1/2 tank Dynamat = 18kg There are a couple more things that add up to a total of 10 or so kg's. I am also looking at a CF boot as I have wanted to de-spoiler for some time now. The boot should save another 5 kg's, if I do end up swapping it. I just need to be more organised before I go to the drags next time & have a mate down there, so I can sore a few things & keep 20lts fuel on hand.
