I don't think the factory ecu modified flex tunes run multiple maps. It is more of a full power e85 tune with then power cut back progressively as you tend to 98. A bit like what the car does with maxing its IAM.

You can buy the Bosch flex sensor for $80US. It is the same piece as Zeitronix uses. You don't need a gauge. You can read the alcohol content to your phone for an extra $50.

I guess some people want the extras that aftermarket ECUs offer versus local open source tuning where launch control, antilag, etc. aren't available.

What are your thoughts and/or experiences with flex fuel kits?

I think the flex fuel is the way to go. If you look back at my posts I put a link up to a supplier.
I have limited experience to the flex fuel being used were I was.

I will be using Graham at boosted performance to under take all tuning in the future remotely.

I am more than capable I think to fit up the unit.

I let you know how it goes as Kramer will be sure to ask me to assist with his set up.

cutting power relative to a signal (voltage) is a map / table or changes to part of a map / table. Maxing a sensor out and what happens when you do it are completely different things anyhow as seagull said not the place to learn this .

I have no links Daz I got most of my information in training on the job and being shown from peers in the industry. Very happy to sit down with a couple of beers with anyone and share some basics and answer some questions and share some info Mainly after market ecus .Know stuff all about the capabilities of the newer factory ECUs but I am defiantly interested .

I think this is where it would be great to have more organised days or even a couple of days in a club environment to help each other out with these things and more. It would only make all of us have a better understanding of out awesome cars. This is where as a community of like minded people me can really help with more technical side of working on cars. Not plasti dipping and ricing up stuff.

sorry there is a site ecu university or something the lads always post it up to hang shit on Mao but Im sure they must have something like that online to teach some more in depth fundamentals of tuning.

Nothing beats face to face IMHO.
