Had a "gun" crane driver top up the crane with deisel.
Problem was, he topped up the hydraulic tank.
The mechanic and I were there until 8pm, but 800L of oil later it was all fixed.

The driver resigned two days later.

We used to let the retards mix their own 2 stroke fuel. 2 problems here. They cant seem to work out the colour codes on the jerry cans (i.e. we blew up shit loads of line trimmers by using two stroke) and we used to go through an inordinate amount of unleaded. Fix was to take all the unleaded jerry's off them and get the mechanics to pre mix two stroke in 44 gallon drums. Now when I think someone is pinching the two stroke for their car I jsut get the mechanics to make up a couple of drums with caster based 2 stroke oil. Then you just walk through the car park in the morning and smell the serenity.

Which fuel card do you use?

We have motorcharge and they say you can't limit the fuel to a type, you can have an Everything card, a Fuel and Oil Only card.

I have an Everything card and the employees have Fuel and Oil, I then have Exemption reports emailed when they pump over a certain amount of fuel as you can't say no Unleaded.

It sucks!

In saying that, one employee is up shit creek as his card pumped $980 worth of Unleaded last month and none of our vehicles run on petrol

We used to use BP but the silly woman that is my mother decided to swap over to Caltex. Dad and I refused so we still use BP but everyone else uses Caltex. You can set both daily and monthly limits and turn on and off shop / each fuel / lube / car wash etc.

In the early days (15+ years ago) when we just used the local BP (before we could get cards) he used to book up smokes and drinks as fuel. That was a $200k + a year mistake for him.

The BP cards just get more icons on the bottom of the card for what you are allowed.

Got another one this afternoon. Just put on a new guy with a company vehicle phone etc as a site supervisor. He's been here about 2 weeks. Comes in at 2pm khowing he has an important meeting stinking of mouth freshener. Turns out he is bordering on alcoholic. Apparently whisky is his weapon of choice.

All I want is someone to come to work, do an honest days work for an honest days pay and go home. I really dont need this crap.

I've done a fair amount of site supervision, imagine baby sitting 50 children who shit in paint tins rather than walk to the toilet, stand on finished benchtops rather than ladders, lucky if you stop at alcohol.

We run both Caltex and BP cards due to the nature of our work.

Both cards can be optioned to any level you wish - fuel type, $$ value, extras etc etc.
