She has called her old insurance co and they said it's not their problem anymore, and her new one said she wasn't with them then so it's not their prob either. She's going to call his insurance company tomorrow and ask for photos and also I said to let them know she has a 3rd party witness (me) who was also in the car and remembers what the damage looked like.
Anything else she can do guys??

Really appreciate the help by the way
It is still their problem and they just cbf doing any work.

She just needs to give the guy her claim number and tell him that he is to contact her insurance company as they have paid for the repairs. If they (her insurance company) decline to repair his car then its up to him to sort it out with them, not with her. Its all in the PDS.

What was the circumstances of the accident?

Just on great eastern heading east after Perth cup and someone with a trailer in front of the guy last minute braked for a corner, lessens brake time for him and so on, she just couldn't stop in time, skidded a lil then nudged him in the ass. Like I said, hardly anything done to his mirage company car ( which he wasn't supposed to be driving?) :/ but yeah most of the damage was to hers. She fixed it through her insurance after he told her not to worry about it and just fix her own. Now she gets a letter asking to sort out some payment 10 months later.. Just sounds really dodgy to me. The guy was older, and a nice guy, but from memory he said it was his son in laws company/own business car or something..
Her car was pretty much brand new too, one of those little Suzuki sporty things??

She is 100% at fault and he can request reimbursement for damages caused by her.

Just give him the claim number and let them sort it out.

SGIO have a deal right now where they will beat any quote (apples for apples) by 10%, just saved it on my 3 premiums! Which is a lot on 2 WRX's as you can all imagine!

Ph: 134646

Nope, don't work for them.

Just used this for my folks Mazda 323, with a twist.

They were paying nearly 600 for insurance with RAC. Got an online quote from AAMI for 270...then rang SGIO with evidence, they did the deal...250. Saved over 350 for this year, folks are stoked!

Tried the same for a WRX, AAMI premiums are massively exxy.

Just got insurance for my MY01 wagon.

Insured for $13k
Full NCB (realised I have not had a traffic infringement in 14 years, despite owning all kinds of stupid cars)
$598 per annum with SGIO. That includes a 10% discount as I have my house + contents insurance with them.

I rang RAC today to get a quote on the Betty as my SGIO renewal is due shortly. They asked if it had any modifications, I mentioned exhaust only and the guy asked me how much performance I had gained from that modification - he wanted a kilowatt figure! I told him that I didn't know what I had gained as factory specs are given as flywheel kw's and explained that I only know what my power is "at the hubs". I told him 185kw, he placed me on hold and had a lengthy chat with the underwriters. Oooooo-k... haven't heard of this before... he came back, said they'd insure it no worries so I queried him in regards to RAC having some form of upper limit of power that they will insure. He said no, and that it was a case by case scenario.

Anyone encountered this before with RAC or any other company?
