Default Insurance Advice

Hay guys,

I am currently on my L Plates and will be getting my P plates around december time as i passed my driving test a few weeks ago. I was wondering if i could get some advise on what insurance company i should go with. I own a 2002 WRX.
Any information would be great

Cheers
Azza

WRX, L plates.

No matter where you go, bring lube.

Just car are probably going to be the only people who will insure you.

Dont insure under your parents name, might be cheaper but is illegal and you dont build up any no claim bonus of your own.

If you can find an insurance company to insure you, grab your ankles and forget about lube. Just ring around to all of them.

do you really need fully comp?

what i did was get 3rd party to pay for anyone i hit (and to build up a no claim bonus history) & saved the 2k a year or whatever it was to put towards an accident if i ever had one (which i didnt)

I got my 05 STi about 3 months ago, I'm 22 and I got full comprehensive with SGIO for $980ish or there abouts (sub $1000). They didn't offer me the cheapest quote, but they'll beat any price by 10%

RAC suprisingly had the cheapest but any mods I did (even a different diff back) they wanted to know about, know a value and any power increase and some other things. It was a bit unreasonable. So I got SGIO to beat their price by 10% and SGIO said to me over the phone they don't care about mods as long as they are road legal and the car is road worthy they will insure up to the agreed value. They also put in free window replacement to match RAC

agreed value is $30,000

02STI 18k agreed value, I pay $180/month with 2k excess. I'm 20 in July, and an average driving history.

That's with AAMI
