If at first you don't succeed, quit.

Are you on semis or street tyres?

Took me about 6 or 7 rounds to start to find some rhythm and learn the tracks etc...

Enjoy the journey, most of the morning and afternoon entries are seasoned campaigners. More track time, more seat time is the answer.

Ive done ALOT of laps at that place, but the main reason why I'm starting to feel hesitant going forward is the money I'm going to have to spend to be competitive, and the lack of adrenaline/dopamine etc. released during racing.

I did a track day on my bike a few weekends ago and probably had one of the best days in my life, I was catching and overtaking guys guys on much faster bikes and enjoying it much more, I was buzzing for days afterwards. I want that feeling again.

I was on Yokis AD08R's, they felt like they were doing a good job in the very wet to almost dry conditions.
Brake feel was rubbish.
Need more grunt.
Handling was pretty decent and predictable.
Driver could have pushed a bit harder.

Do whatever makes you happy and gives you the buzz!

If a bike on the track gives you the buzz and a WRX doesn't, go the bike.

Don't be too hard on yourself...
Lack of power is probably a good thing on a wet day
Brakes can be improved with upgraded pads, rotors and fluid
Predictable handling is certainly a big step.
Some (eg me) pushed a little harder in the wet and paid the price in the grass & mud.
There are some very big horsepower cars out there.
You're lucky you had an "almost dry" run.
Enjoy the experience...we aren't all Jamie Listers...

Yep. I pushed a bit hard. Spun on 2 different occaisions. But my last run turned out kinda ok. It was drying by that stage though. I actually enjoyed the wet. It was very challenging and a good chance to see what happens when you push the car hard. You couldnt do that on the street, so i consider it invaluable experience.

My best run was better than his 2nd best run. But he had consistency, whereas i was consistently uncosistent.
