Not that im aware of. Least not that i did :/

Usually when you install them yourself they recommend turning the engine over with some sensors disconnected to get the oil into the turbo before you crank the engine properly as it takes a good 5-10 seconds for oil to get from the sump to the turbo when cold. So that would be 5-10 seconds of a dry turbo spinning with no oil. However, you are getting ASG to do this so no, not that im aware of!

Like most mechanical parts, they need a few heat cycles to 'bed in' but it'll work straight out of the box without issue.

Big difference. I think the later wrx's use a TD04L (can someone confirm that?) which is bigger then the gc8 TD04, but you will still notice a big difference (least i did), it will come on harder and for longer. You will notice it doesnt run out of puff near the 5k mark but instead go for the redline!
