Tonight was the night, tidied up a few things, filled her up with run in oil and she fired up first time, don't you love it when a plan comes together.

I do have a video of the start up, but need to work out how to upload it on here!!

Whats the rationale behind the funnel and fluids? 'not familiar with GC8 engine bays'.

The yellow thing?

Helps "burp" the cooling system of air pockets.

Yeah the yellow funnel. So I'm guessing its an automated way of stopping it from overflowing onto the floor and 'for lack of a better term', re-feeds coolant back into the system?

its called a "spill free" container...aka bleeds the coolant system by raising the point of acess which in turn helps push air of the system, very handy tool, have a couple at work.
Deffiantly worth $50, comes with different adapters etc.
