Surely you got over 300hp? With the specs of your motor and quality of parts i wouldn't be shy with 1.6 - 1.8bar on your 34?

I'm giving it a run on Evolution R's dyno on saturday morning running 1.3-1.4 bar.

I still have the small exhaust housing on the 34 and it's inherit piss poor wastegate setup (barely controllable 1.6 bar spike @ 3000rpm).

I'll base my future turbo (type/size) plans on Saturdays results.......It feels pretty quick going by the bum dyno as it is ha ha!

Right-e-o....

Thanks to Warwick & Mao for todays dyno run.

Interesting results I think.........

The results are:

Boost curves:
(Low ebc gain/slow boost ramp to avoid 3-3.5k compressor surge issue)

Yes it says Civic ^^...file save issue ha ha!

End result was 269.8 hp & 398 nm @ 1.49 bar with a missfire
(I need to close the damn spark plug gaps! FML).

Approx 341 hp @ the crank by my calculations.

P18 hot side stifling it up top....

Thoughts?

Hehe I told you it would make about 270 @ the wheels

It comes on strong and early, do you want to keep that or want more top end?

Why mess with it if its quick enough for you now?

Good Guess!

I'd like to spread the power out more, i.e get rid of the 3K surge issue so I can ramp it on boost harder under 4K.

Guys, this is an awesome effort that Ros has put in. He has managed to road tune his car accurately till 4500 rpm after which you can imagine the road speed proceeding that. To put it in context, he has to get his mate to drive the car n coordinate the tune with his laptop, while still looking at the AFM mixtures, plus listen to knock with all the road noise.

As we mentioned to him, get a Vipec. ahahah Jokes aside, Can't wait till he sorts out his tune and misfire above 4500 rpm.

teething issues are always a pain! good luck with the retune once the miss is sorted.

The miss only happened on the dyno?

That's kinda a silly question, the Dyno replicates the running accurately. If it missed on the dyno, it will miss on the road.

That's what the dyno is for. Opposed to when you are driving on the road in 4th gear 1:1 ratio, running above 4500rpm, woah I'll be damned if I had the balls to still look out for other details, while looking at the latop plus monitoring afr and trying to hold her in a specific load site.

That's y I said it was a massive effort by both Ros and his driver, considering that it ran so smoothly till 4500rpm.

Sorry to hijack your thread Ros.
