In light of driving [VERSION 6] yesterday, (albeit on a short run and damp roads in parts), I must say to anyone looking to rebuild at the minute, or build a second 'stronger' motor on the side, this should definitely be considered.

The map still needs some Rossco love, (now that it is literally "firing on all cylinders" it seems - so timing/fuel is out), however, is it certainly a crisp, fun, mid range/torquey punchy car where the map is at now.

It is spritely to drive throughout the rev range, (given the use of 2.13503456 L), and an engine that breathes really well, and the fact Ross is currently still going with the (supercharged ) VF-34.

Will hopefully smack down 300ath this Sat.

Brent.

Another attempt at a clean run on Evolution R's dyno today.....

Another semi-fail........The clutch won't hold @ 1.7 bar (24.6 psi), although it still pulls hard on the street without any slip....Damn it!

I suppose it's my fault the clutch in the car is only rated to 350hp at the flywheel.....Must be getting close to this with 280 at the hubs.

Today's 3rd run had the least clutch slip...Fast 4 second ramp on the dyno.

(Smooth enough??)

An interesting thing about the graph above is that it only drops about 10hp from it's peak @ 6200 rpm all the way to 7600rpm.

Torque drops off quick but that maybe some clutch slip messing with the curve.
I'm pretty happy seeing as this entire tune is mine from scratch, the max knock recorded on all of today's runs was 12 (35 is safe).
The Afr's are still a little rich at 11.1 average from 1 bar and up..... Cleaning those up will crispen up the top end a bit I think.
Ignition timing wise it's running 12-14 degrees at peak torque slowly lifting up to 17 by redline....There maybe some more safe gains to be had here too.

The misfire & resultant surge is totally gone too.

Thoughts gents?

This is how it looked with the ignition misfiring & carrying on.

Quite a difference between the two graphs.......

12hp gain at peak hp..........31 hp gain at redline

37nm gain in torque

Wow that is one smooth graph. Power looks absolutely beautiful. Well done Ross.

incredible gains made in the midrange. I seems odd the way it just flattens out though.

I'd be keen to see this hit 320ish.
