Build your own m3 R35 Hybrid out of Gold..

R35 Bro... The box of tissues won't look right in the rear window of an M3... and the r35 dash is designed to hold more soft toys.

Hehe.

Personally if i had more money than sense i would buy a low KM Ferrari 360 as my weekend/track car/drive to fancy dinners etc. Love the sound of a high revving V8. Pick them up these days for 130-150K and would keep your STI as your daily..... I mean who here doesnt want a Ferrari?

I have leaned over more towards the GTR at this point. But before I go ahead and buy one I just wanted a second opinion from the mechanically minded. Not much info yet, lol probably wrong place to be asking on a wrx forum but who knows.

I did some research myself, only concern I found is that people have been having problems with the Launch Control and tranny in the earlier models. Using the launch control will void your warrenty, and that after a few launches the tranny goes costing $20,000 to fix not covered by warrenty because it would of been voided from you using the LC in the first place which would be recorded in their little black box on the car.

Don't really want to be paying 20k on top of what I'd pay for the car, they say the 0-60 in 3.5 turning the VDC but if you use the launch control it would void your warrenty? why would they put a feature in a car where you are not allowed to use it. Second opinion anyone? whether this is all true I don't know

Well for a start there is a 6 month waiting list on all brand new GTR's, i was in theere the other day ordering one aswell!

M3 is a little bitch car, if you love body roll and and want to look old go ahead and buy one

But if you want a all round nice car to drive and want it to perform exceptional GTR is the way to go,

Or go get a ferrari 458 Italia, they are amazing arround the track and for the sunday cruise

^ Do you know if they fixed the tranny problem? apparently they took the Launch Control feature out of the latest ones? I'd love to order a brand new GTR but unfortunately my pockets don't go that deep....

6 months is being a little pessimistic on new GTR's.. its more like 3-4 months (i order the GTR's for AHG).

The launch control on the MY11 is fixed, and was put to the test at the last Philip Island track day.. and was faultless by all accounts. I actually believe there is an unsold GTR due in Sept if your really keen.. will check tomorrow on the colour.

Yes problem was sorted out in the MY11 GTRs.. if you are going to go with a GTR then this would be the year i would buy...

In saying that to me the GTR felt big and akward to drive.. still very fast but i if i had the choice would try and pick up a 430 scudieria... best car by far apart from the 458...

Scuds are rare as all hell and 458s are expensive as piss.

Go the GTR and have a fkn ball with it.
