Nope. $250ish and $50 battery + charger.

Type E was a later revision, made a couple of improvements to it.

- Better Center Stability.
- Engine Cover (Prevent heat getting everywhere)
- New steering system
- Better front uprights.
- New Shock Towers.

Roger that. How long does RC Mart take to ship normally ? Looking at tt01 kits on there now, assuming they are cheaper than buying them in .au. I also assume the "standard 540 motor" is a piece of shit?

Can I have a chat with you about this Matt? Ill give you a ring after work? There are some better alternatives to take (now that I learned the expensive way).

Teh-r31 chassis Matt

Rc Mart usually take about a week, but I've had some small items from them in 2 days.

Gimmie a call if you want Cam but probably worth just posting it up here to help out other people?

Ross, just had a bit of a look at the TEHR31 and it seem a lot of people are saying they are fragile and often ship missing bits?

Yeah no probs Matt - As I said in the pm to ya just before. TT01 seems cheap to begin with but you pretty much have to upgrade every single bit on it to get it up to par with the better belt-driven cars. My car has only just finally come good, I have done the following to it.
- Full alloy conversion kit of driveshafts, propellor shaft, upper and lower arms, diff mounts, battery posts, steering posts.
- Camber adjustable arms
- Removed the drive shafts and replaced them with locked steel alternatives (stops them bending when hitting stuff)
- Replaced the 2 Diff Gears, rear is a fully locked diff, front is a one way LSD.
- Replaced the receiver with a 2.4ghz System
- Replaced the motor and ESC with a Brushless setup and LIPO Battery compatible system.
- Replaced all the plastic bushings with ball bearings.
- Replaced the steering servo with a high-speed metal geared one.
- Replaced the steering arms/system with a racing steering system.
- Added weights to the front end.
- Replaced the shocks with Oil Filled dampers with Soft springs.

Have spent about 800 bucks now I rekon. A fully kitted belt drive would have cost maybe 500-600 all up?

I used to drool over these when I was a kid.
The re-release of the buggies in 2008 with modern upgrades made me consider buying.

Still think the Escort Cosworth was one of the best looking body shells to be shod over the TA01 chassis.
Does anyone know if a GC8 or 555 WRX RC kit or shell was ever produced by Tamiya?
