Buy the Borg already FFS and go E85 . Then start saving for new short motor .

Gordon, I think Blouch do a 7cm housing for Australia too. Not sure if this would be too restrictive for top end. Speak to Jrecardo he reckons his 1.5/8cm is hauling arse at 3.5k/rpm in a 2.5 wrx motor.

Not ready for a new block yet, since compression is still good (finger crossed)

Nick, thx for the link. Have seen a ej257 with 1.5xtr on dyno, not as responsive as I like tbh. Plus it might be too much for our block. That mps from last night with non ball bearing gt2871 put out full boost 600rpm earlier. I know its not really comparable, but Im impressed.

Have this Tomei Type s FPR ready to go with the new turbo. It is the raising rate type FPR to accommodate the increased air flow at partial boost. If 1000cc injectors become insufficient for E85, I will be able to raise fuel pressure to increase fuel injected into the engine.

My Zage GT2871 is sent out from Taiwan today by DHL. Ordered it with billet wheel and 8cm housing. And new NGK irinium one step colder plugs went in the car as well. Did another compression test + leak down test just for peace of mind. Cant wait for next week.

Happy chinese new year for me... New turbo just arrived. Its Japanese made garret Gt 2871 with zage's 11 blade billet wheel. Should be fitted and tuned in two days too.
