No you couldn't - Darren does the same price ($2300 inc gst) for everyone inside AHG.

Vf30 is essentially a plain bearing vf34, but slower to spool, silimar top end, where the vf35 is just a faster spoolinb turbo with still plenty of potential

jap sti = 180 km/hr speedo

aussie sti = 260 km/hr speedo

jap has 1 build plate on left hand strut tower

aussie has 1 build plate on left hand strut tower, 1 compliance plate on right hand strut tower and 1 build date tag on lower left b pillar (visible with left door(s) are open)

jap sedan shell has 3 mounts for rear wiper motor and aussie sedan shell only has 2 (as they were not fitted with rear wiper)

there are other differences that someone who knows GD's as intimately as I do could use to pick differences, but the above should be fairly conclusive as to whether or not it is a JDM shell or aussie shell.

I hope this helps.
