Yeah mate, i'm pretty much gonna be running as quick as i can so i can get to the beers! Nothing like drinking a six pack at 8:30am in the morning after a half marathon hahaha!

i'm doing the half also. Should be a good day. .... looks like the wind will be minimal but it will be bloody cold at 6am!!
I'm Carbo loading today!! Ive eaten 2 bowls of cereal,2 bananas, 2 muffins, a Gatorade, 2 Rounds of Sandwhiches, 375ml can of coke, a yogurt and a Banana Smoothie. For dinner I am going to The Brisbane for 3 pieces of Garlic Bread, a large pasta and 2 glasses of lemonade. Before I go to bed I will eat some jam toast and anther gatorade. All done!! 2 kg heavier ![]() Cheers |

you have up to 5 days from your race to do a carbo load. Muscle glycogen levels will remain the same up until that time. But you need to have tapered also. Personally I have found that 3 days prior works best for me. I am hoping for a PB this weekend.

C2S Half-Mara, didn't stop whole way, followed some nice chicks with good diffs - Hit the finish with a 1hr 58min .. Happy as, what i was aiming for.
Totally wiped out right now, mind you i was on the beers at 8:30am down there and it was fookin cold!
