Hey Kato,

Not sure on the logging, Mao did say he was going to go through the Vipec this morning, so it possibly might.

I am hoping its something simple, its hard for me being away not being able to actually hear / feel the issue myself. But Warick and Mao know what they are doing.

Cam angle sensor, power steering & now misfire.......... What next....

Problem solved after tweaking with the cam and crank sensor triggering volatages.
And now to finish the tune.

My guy Warick has worked with Motec for over 15yrs. He runs his Ford Escort race car in the Nationals on a Motec M800. We swear by the Motecs as the best. Would love to sell more Motecs.

Vi-pec is our next option down due to their similarity in functions including the use of VE for mapping calculations.

Come on guys, get some M800s PnP and Vi-pec PnPs.

Good evening to all of you.

Updates:

Roughstilin's car has made 308.7hp on our base map with no timing advance and boost is running between 17-20psi with no boost solenoid control as yet.

We are close to finishing this tune, but did not want to rush it today. We will be connecting the boost solenoid up to the turbo tmr after setting up the HKS actuator to the optimum setting, and hit the high boost button. Timing advance will also be done safely.

I believe the HKS turbine has been run in very nicely already through our extensive testing on the Dynapack. Although we are very excited at this stage, we also realise that this engine has already done 150,000kms. So if all goes well, we will have a good result tomorrow.

Regards,
Mao/ Evolution R

Yes you right. A lot of ppl do that.

We will be running all 3 injectors side by side all in one hit so the pressures will be uniform in that one test.

The machine can test up to 6 injectors at a time so 3 side by side will not be a problem.

I have seen people try to compare injector patterns with one injector at 20psi, one at 60psi yada yada. That is just utter shit. Some testing machines struggle to pump enough fluid through a 800+cc injector at 43psi, so they dial the pressure down to something the machine can handle. This gives the user no real information about the injector imo.

Think of it like a hose with a sprayer. Your mate has a sprayer that he reckons is much better than yours. If his is at full pressure and yours is barely turned on, that doesn't tell you which is the better sprayer.
