A internally stock EJ207 Spec C block is a great motor, I use to have one in my old wrx.
I believe with the right supporting mods (cams will be needed, ask tuner what type/duration), 300kw atw day in, day out is definitely achievable. It wont explode after 10,000km either if its looked after and tuned correctly.
Rev limit. Ok, Ive heard that the spec C 207's are good for 8500rpms. do you know if it has cross drilled crank? If its the real deal then it should.

Yup its a real spec c version 7 block. The spec c was in a crash and was written off so the short block came out of it and into my gc8 version 6 sti.
