I haven't been following the discussion and I don't read Rexnet, so between those posts and now there could be more data on the PW TMIC. But its $1k for a PW tmic that you could be spending on other areas of your car.

If you're chasing an all out peak HP figure, definitely do go a front mount. If you want a responsive fun to drive car with more area under the curve but a slightly lower wank figure, keep the tmic.
Cheers Jester,

I appreciate your input. Maybe you are right and I am chasing a stupid peak number for no reason at all. I will run the car with the STI TMIC for now and see how the car feels once tuned with the Vipec. Make my decision from that point on.

I should really be concentrating on getting some injectors.

PS, don't get too hung up on dyno figures. As mentioned before, every dyno is different, so what people make on the Allstar Dynapack last year will definately not 100% correlate to the EvoR Dynapack when your car gets tuned, vs MMS mainline, vs Xspeed etc etc.

The real test will be how black the 4 lines are it leaves out the front of EvoR

go the decaps.

also, as mentioned- the stock sti tmic is A-OK with that HKS turbo, my brother has one on his 05 sti- with the stock intercooler, it ran fine!

plus i'm certain it can make well over 300hp/450nm.

Yes that is a very good point.

That is why we always do an initial power run first and then proceed with the mods and perform an after power run to tell the difference in power.

Guys, Jester is on the money here. Always chase an increase in power (that is: perform an initial power run and then do your mods and tune and perform another power run after on the same dyno), instead of a final number as different dynos might have inconsistencies between them.

Regards,
Mao

Konbanwa, just out of curiosity, which Sard injectors were you using?

Hmmm, did you get them flow tested afterwards, because if you bought them new from an authorised agent, I will get Sard to warranty them for ya?

Mao
