Tino
What can you tell us about your builds sleeving process? Are you using Darton Sleeves and who is fitting them? Are you going for a loose fit plus loctite or a pressed fit that risk's distortion of the block? What's the plan to prevent sleeve walk and the target CC and CR, tia

Well morgan they are very good questions and i dont know the answers to all of them.. But what i know is that there are darton flange top sleeves meaning that there is a lip associated with the top of the sleeve which is pressed into the top of the block. This will eliviate the sleeves blowing head gaskets from normal drop in sleeves. Alot of the reputable engine builders use this form of sleeving. And will thus prevent sleeve walk.. The CC and CR is worked out by asg but we are targeting the standard 2.5 displacement using 99.5mm pistons.. The CR will be around 8.5:1.. But your best to speak to asg, or theyll pass you onto the machinest that prepares all their blocks...

Tino, I stole this little gem below from Nasioc the other night with your sleeving in mind. Explains a few things about how to avoid the dreaded sleeve drop. Apparently it can happen even with your "muffin topped" sleeves, it is the good oil direct from Mr "Darton Sleeves" himself. That's great news if we have some Perth Based Guru's on Sleeving Subarus :
